Great faster of the Kiev Caves Lavra who healed the sick by laying on of hands and possessed the gift of prophecy.
Venerable Agathon of the Kiev Caves labored in the Kiev Caves Monastery no earlier than the second third of the 13th century, into the early 14th century. He was a great faster, healed the sick by laying hands on them, and possessed the gift of clairvoyance. His relics rest in the Far (Theodosius) Caves of the Kiev Caves Lavra. The name "Agathon" means "good" in Greek.
