The holy martyr Anastasia of Rome suffered in the 1st century under Emperor Nero.
The holy martyr Anastasia of Rome suffered in the 1st century under Emperor Nero. Together with the martyr Basilissa, she collected the bodies of tortured Christians and gave them proper burial. They were arrested, subjected to cruel tortures and beheaded around 68 AD. Her memory is celebrated on April 28 (April 15 O.S.).
