Venerable Anna of Sarov, schema-nun, was an ascetic of the Sarov Hermitage and the mother of St. Seraphim of Sarov. In the world she was known as Agafia. Together with her husband Isidor Moshnin, she raised her son Prochor (the future St. Seraphim) in piety.
