Apostle Asyncritus of the Seventy is mentioned by Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Romans: "Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them" (Romans 16:14). He was made bishop in the region of Hyrcania (Asia Minor), where he zealously preached the Gospel. His memory is kept on April 8/21 together with the Apostles of the Seventy Herodion, Agabus, Rufus, Phlegon, and Hermas, as well as January 4/17 in the Synaxis of the Seventy Apostles.
