Apostle Epaphroditus of the Seventy — a close co-worker of Apostle Paul, who delivered his epistle to the Philippian church and brought Paul their gifts during his imprisonment (Philippians 2:25, 4:18); bishop in Thrace.
Apostle Epaphroditus of the Seventy was one of Apostle Paul's closest co-workers. The church in Philippi sent him to the imprisoned Apostle Paul with gifts, and Paul calls him "my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier" (Philippians 2:25). He was made bishop in the city of Adriace in Thrace. He fell asleep in the Lord peacefully. His memory is kept on March 30/April 12 together with the Apostles of the Seventy Sosthenes, Apollos, Cephas, Tychicus, Caesar, and Onesiphorus, as well as January 4/17 in the Synaxis of the Seventy Apostles.
