Apostle Quartus of the Seventy was a co-worker of Apostle Paul, mentioned in the Epistle to the Romans (16:23); according to tradition, Bishop of Berytus (modern Beirut), who converted many pagans to Christ.
Apostle Quartus of the Seventy is mentioned by Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Romans: "Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother" (Romans 16:23). According to church tradition, he was made Bishop of Berytus (modern Beirut), converted many pagans to Christ, and ended his days peacefully. His memory is kept on November 10/23 together with the Apostles Erastus, Olympas, Herodion, Sosipater, and Tertius, as well as January 4/17 in the Synaxis of the Seventy Apostles.
