Apostle Zenas

Apostle Zenas the Lawyer of the Seventy, Bishop of Diospolis (Lydda) — a co-worker of Apostle Paul, mentioned in the Epistle to Titus (3:13); nicknamed "the Lawyer" for his learning in the law (Jewish or Roman).
Apostle Zenas is mentioned by Apostle Paul in the Epistle to Titus: "Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them" (Titus 3:13) — hence the epithet "the Lawyer" (he may have been learned in Jewish law, or served as a Roman jurist before his conversion to Christ). According to later tradition, he was made Bishop of the city of Lydda (Diospolis) in Palestine. His memory is kept on September 27/October 10, as well as January 4/17 in the Synaxis of the Seventy Apostles.
