Venerable Archippus of the Kiev Caves

Venerable Archippus labored at the Kiev Caves Monastery; the exact century of his life, the circumstances of his ascetic labor, and his individual day of commemoration have not survived in the sources that have come down to us — such scarcity of information is characteristic of a significant portion of the more than one hundred ascetics whose relics rest in the Near and Far Caves of the Lavra. Venerable Archippus's name is included in the general synodikon of Kiev Caves saints. He is venerated as part of the Synaxis of All Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Caves, celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of Great Lent (a movable date).
