Venerable Macarius, nicknamed the Faster, labored at the Kiev Caves Monastery in the 12th century. No detailed individual biography has survived; only his inclusion in the general Synaxis of All Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Caves is known. His memory is kept on January 19/February 1.
