Venerable Peter of the Kiev Caves
точные годы жизни не сохранились
Venerable Peter of the Kiev Caves — one of the ascetics of the Kiev Caves Monastery; no detailed biography has survived, and he is venerated as part of the Synaxis of All Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Caves. Not to be confused with St. Peter, Metropolitan of Moscow (14th c.) — a different, far more famous saint of the same name.
Venerable Peter labored at the Kiev Caves Monastery; details of his life, the circumstances of his ascetic labor, and the exact date of his individual commemoration have not survived in the sources that have come down to us. He is venerated as part of the general Synaxis of All Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Caves (2nd Sunday of Great Lent). He should be distinguished from St. Peter, Metropolitan of Moscow and All Rus' (14th c.) — a separate and distinct tradition of veneration.
