Martyr Asclepiodotus of Caesarea suffered for Christ in the early 2nd century (traditionally c. 108 AD) in Caesarea of Cappadocia, together with the martyrs Diomedes, Eulampius, and the martyr Golindukha. According to church tradition, these saints were martyred in the same persecution as the hieromartyr Hyacinth of Rome and the martyrs Theodotus and Theodotia.
No extended hagiographic narrative survives for this group beyond their names, location, and the fact of their martyrdom.
The Church commemorates Martyr Asclepiodotus on July 3 (Old Style) / July 16 (New Style).
IMPORTANT CORRECTION: the entry incorrectly listed category_gender="f" (female) — corrected as a technical error. The name form "Asclepiodotus" (without the feminine "-a" ending) is grammatically MASCULINE (the feminine form is "Asclepiodota," a separate saint, Martyr Asclepiodota of Adrianople, feast February 19/March 4 — not to be confused). The entry's sole image (a generic ancient marble bust, uninscribed) is not individually confirmed and has been excluded.
