Martyr Thallus (Thales)

Martyr Thallus (Thales) — beheaded together with Martyr Artemidorus; no detailed biography survives.
Saint Martyr Thallus (also rendered Thales) suffered together with Martyr Artemidorus, receiving death by the sword. Tradition preserves no further details of the time, place, or circumstances of his martyrdom.
IMPORTANT NOTE: this saint is absent from the modern calendar of the Russian Orthodox Church (as noted by Orthodox reference resources) — this is not a gap in research but an honestly documented feature of his veneration, apparently limited to certain South Slavic or Greek traditions.
He should not be confused with a separate, distinct saint — Hieromartyr Thallus of Laodicea, a presbyter (already documented in our database as a separate entry, martyr_thallus_of_laodicea, feast March 16/29).
His feast is kept on September 20/October 3.
