Right-believing Prince Constantine (Yaroslav Svyatoslavich) of Murom

Right-believing Prince Constantine (known in the world and in chronicle tradition as Yaroslav Svyatoslavich) achieved the baptism of the pagan city of Murom and its lands in the early 12th century, converting its inhabitants to the Orthodox faith. His son Michael was killed by pagans unwilling to accept baptism, before the enlightenment of the city was complete. Another son, Theodore, became his father's faithful helper in establishing church life in Murom. Right-believing Prince Constantine reposed in 1129 and was buried in the Church of the Annunciation alongside his sons, the blessed Michael and Theodore. All three are glorified as Wonderworkers of Murom; their relics rest in the Annunciation Monastery of Murom. His feast day coincides with that of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Emperor Constantine the Great, his heavenly patron.
