The Totma saints — three ascetics of the Vologda land connected to the town of Totma: St. Theodosius of Totma, Blessed Andrew of Totma, and Righteous Maximus of Totma; they have no independent feast, being venerated within the Synaxis of Vologda Saints.
The "Totma saints" are three ascetics whose lives are tied to the town of Totma in the Vologda land. No independent "Synaxis of Totma Saints" feast exists in the liturgical calendar; all three are venerated as part of the Synaxis of Vologda Saints, established in 1841 by Bishop Innokenty (Borisov) of Vologda and kept on the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost. The group comprises: St. Theodosius of Totma (Sumorin; c. 1530–1568), founder of the Spaso-Sumorin Monastery near Totma (already documented separately in this database), commemorated Jan 28/Feb 10, relics found Sep 2/15; Blessed Andrew of Totma, fool-for-Christ (d. 1673), commemorated Oct 23/Nov 5; and Righteous Maximus of Totma, fool-for-Christ and priest (d. 1650), commemorated Jan 16/29. All three lived in the 16th–17th centuries in the Totma district as locally venerated Vologda saints.
