Hierarch
Hierarch Zama of Bologna
III–IV века (датировка предположительна)
St. Zama of Bologna (dating uncertain) — traditionally the first bishop of Bologna; the historicity and dating of his life are largely legendary.
St. Zama is venerated by church tradition as the first historically attested bishop of Bologna, northern Italy. The exact time of his ministry is not reliably established by the sources — different traditions place his episcopate at the end of the 3rd century or in the 4th century; no detailed historical information about his life survives, and the tradition concerning him is largely legendary, having taken shape in later lists of Bologna's bishops. Nevertheless his name invariably opens the list of prelates of the Bologna see in local church tradition, and his memory is kept on January 24 (February 6).
