Venerable
Venerable Zenon of the Kiev Caves
XIV век
Venerable Zenon of the Kiev Caves (14th c.) — an ascetic of the Far (Theodosius) Caves of the Kiev Caves Lavra.
Venerable Zenon of the Kiev Caves labored in the 14th century in the Far, or Theodosius, Caves of the Kiev Caves Lavra — one of the two cave complexes of the monastery that became a site of monastic labor and repose for many Kiev Caves saints. Detailed information about his personal ascetic labors and life course has not survived, as is the case for most monks of this period of the Lavra's history, whose names and joint commemoration are recorded in the Kiev Caves Patericon and the general menologion of the Kiev Caves saints. His relics rest in the Far Caves. His memory is kept on January 30 (February 12), in the Synaxis of the Venerable Fathers of the Kiev Caves Resting in the Far Caves.
