Hieromartyr Agathodorus of Chersonesus was one of seven bishops sent in the late 3rd–early 4th century to Chersonesus Taurica (Crimea) to preach Christianity among the pagans. He served together with Hieromartyrs Basil, Ephraim, Capito, Eugene, Aetherius, and Elpidius. He endured persecution and a martyr's death, sealing his apostolic labor with his blood. He is venerated both individually and as part of the Synaxis of the Chersonesus Hierarchs.
