EDITORIAL NOTE: despite searching, including the list of the Synaxis of the Saints of Samara, no canonized "Anthony of Samara" was found. The card's sole image turned out not to be an icon at all, but a photograph of a 2010s press conference featuring Greek Prime Minister Antonis SAMARAS and the head of the European Commission — apparently the result of a comical substring coincidence between "Samara" and "Samaras" during the original scraper's automated image matching. The date January 17/30 (name-day with Venerable Anthony the Great) cannot be retained, as the identity itself is unconfirmed.
