The Synaxis of the Bryansk Saints is a church feast established in 2003 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Rus', uniting the memory of ascetics of faith and piety whose lives and labors were connected to the Bryansk land. The Synaxis includes right-believing princes, venerables, hierarchs, and new martyrs who shone forth in this region. The celebration is tied to the feast day of the right-believing Prince Oleg of Bryansk. The icon of the Synaxis was painted by the nun Varvara (Kartseva), a 1995 graduate of the Icon-Painting School, and is located in Bryansk.
