Martyr Theodotion of Egypt — one of three blood brothers (together with Paul and Pausirius) who suffered for Christ in the Egyptian city of Cleopatris in 303 during the persecution of Emperor Diocletian.
Martyrs Paul, Pausirius, and Theodotion were blood brothers who suffered for confessing Christ in the Egyptian city of Cleopatris in 303, during the persecution of Christians under Emperor Diocletian (r. 284-305). A detailed account of the circumstances of their martyrdom has not survived — only a brief commemoration of their joint martyrdom, recorded in the Prologues and menologia, has come down to us; veneration of this group of brothers also spread into Slavic tradition, as attested by their joint depiction in a fresco of the Church of Christ Pantocrator at Dečani (Kosovo, Serbia, c. 1350). Their memory is kept on January 24/February 6.
