Martyr Alexandra

EDITORIAL NOTE: the Orthodox menology venerates many martyrs named Alexandra (of Ancyra/Corinth, of Amisus/Pontus, of Rome, etc. — already described in separate cards in this database). This card contains no place or era qualifier, making unambiguous identification impossible without further data from the original database's compilers. The images in the folder (7 files) do not help: they include a photo of a village church interior with an unidentified hierarch's icon, an icon of Hierarch Alexander (Ivanov-Balanutsa, mistakenly placed here — a MALE hieromartyr), a modern Theotokos icon, an unlabeled amber plaque of a female face, a news photo of the Patriarch presenting an icon to President Putin, an icon of Right-believing Prince Alexander Nevsky (a male saint), and a large composite "Lamentation of Christ" icon with a tiny figure of "Righteous Alexandra" in the corner. None of the images convincingly confirms the identity of a Martyr Alexandra. Recommendation: either delete this card as an indistinguishable duplicate of the already-described Alexandra cards, or ask the source for clarification on which specific Martyr Alexandra was originally intended.
