Also known as: Мч. Борис Орнатский, Мч. Николай Орнатский, Борис Философович Орнатский, Николай Философович Орнатский, Сыновья сщмч. Философа Орнатского

The elder sons of Hieromartyr Philosoph Ornatsky — the army doctor Nicholas and the artillery officer Boris — arrested with their father in August 1918 and shot with him. Glorified in 2000.

Nicholas (born 1886) and Boris (born 1887) were the elder sons of Archpriest Philosoph Ornatsky, rector of the Kazan Cathedral in Petrograd. Nicholas graduated from the Imperial Military Medical Academy and served as a regimental doctor, receiving three decorations in the First World War; afterwards he practised medicine and sang in the church choir. Boris graduated from the Konstantinovsky Artillery School, commanded a battery of the 23rd Artillery Brigade at the front, rose to staff captain and received five decorations; after the war he lived with his parents and helped his father in church.

On 9 August 1918 the Cheka came to arrest their father; Nicholas volunteered to go with him, and Boris was taken too. Despite crowds of parishioners demanding the priest's release, the father and his two sons were shot soon afterwards, probably in late August 1918, in Kronstadt or on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. They were glorified with their father by the Council of Bishops in 2000.
