Righteous Meletius Of Constantinople

A card without reliable confirmation — no canonized patriarch or saint "Meletius of Constantinople" could be found.

EDITORIAL NOTE: despite searching, no canonized "Meletius, Patriarch of Constantinople" was found among Orthodox saints. Known hierarchs include Meletius of Antioch, Meletius (Pigas) of Alexandria, and Meletius of Kharkiv, but none bears the epithet "of Constantinople." In the 20th century, Meletius IV (Metaxakis; 1871–1935) was Patriarch of Constantinople — a historically and ecclesiastically significant figure (initiator of calendar reform) but not glorified as a saint. The card may have arisen from a mistaken conflation of these figures. The date of Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helen was mistakenly copied (regional Constantinople cluster) — removed without replacement.
