The common commemoration of the Russian new martyrs and confessors who were imprisoned in the Solovki Special Purpose Camp set up on the site of the Solovetsky Monastery; established in 2000 and kept on 10/23 August.

The Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Solovki commemorates the glorified new martyrs and confessors of Russia who were held in the Solovki Special Purpose Camp (SLON), set up in the 1920s on the site of the closed Solovetsky Monastery in the White Sea. The feast was established by a decree of Patriarch Alexy II of 25 March 2000; its service was approved by the Holy Synod on 27 December 2011. It is kept on 10/23 August, the day after the Synaxis of the Saints of Solovki.

Prisoners died of hard labour, cold, hunger, scurvy and typhus, or were shot. By 1926 twenty-nine bishops of the Russian Church were held there; that year they composed the so-called Solovki Epistle to the Soviet government, openly describing the persecution of the Church. Among the saints of the Synaxis are Archbishop Hilarion (Troitsky), Archbishop Peter (Zverev), Metropolitan Eugene (Zernov), Bishop Victor (Ostrovidov), and the confessors Bishop Athanasius (Sakharov) and Archpriest Sergius Pravdolyubov. An icon of the Synaxis by Olga Klodt-Volodina is kept in the Solovetsky Monastery.
