The Cypriot icon of the Mother of God Makedonitissa (“the Macedonian”), the shrine of the monastery of the same name three kilometres west of Nicosia.
Икона «Македонитисса», то есть «Македонская», хранится в одноимённом монастыре в трёх километрах к западу от Никосии. Рядом с обителью находятся воинское кладбище и мемориал, где похоронены офицеры и солдаты, павшие в 1974 году при защите Кипра от турецкого вторжения.
